Changing the Citroën BX fuel tank hoses.
The Break has started to mark her territory in a rather inappropriate manner, so it's time to do some corrective actions on her underbody.
The plywood tax-evasion rear seat is lifted and the cover of the tank hoses is opened..
..followed by opening of the hose clips..
..and detaching the hoses from the tank.
Then the hose-to-pipe connection is withdrawn..
..and using the proper tool..
..the clips are undone and the hose pulled away from the pipe.
An electrical wire is fed..
..through the first pipe..
..which is subsequently pulled out.
Measure is taken..
..and a new hose is cut..
..the wire is fed through it..
.and a suitable stopper is fastened to the end.
Some duct tape is applied to the front end..
..and the hose is gently pulled..
..to the correct position.
The protective collar is put around the end of the hose..
..and the hose is joined with the pipe.
After repeating the change procedure with the other hose..
..and fastening the clips at the tank end..
..the cover is refitted..
..and the Break can be allowed to continue her springtime adventures without having to worry about her causing troubles in the neighbourhood.
